Is there a way I can help without volunteering?

As a matter of fact, there is! Making a donation to our organization is one of the best ways to help us succeed in our efforts. Our main source of funding comes from our vendors booth rental, and the occasional grant; but often times its just not as much as we really need. All donations are tax deductible as Hobbs Farmers Market is a section 501(c)3 charity organization. Click here to donate. How do I get involved?

Subscribing to our mailing list is the easiest way to get involved with HFM, whether it be as a vendor,
volunteer, or a position on our board of directors. The form to do so is found on the bottom right side of this page. You will receive updates to let you know when you can attend our next meeting, usually at least 3 days before the meeting date. If you prefer to receive a phone call or text notification, you can type TEXT ME or CALL ME in the form field beside your name. You will only be texted or called a few days in advance to our meetings.

 

Why should I get involved?

Hobbs Farmers' Market quite literally depends on its community to help support itself. Without directors, the market does not exist. Without vendors, there is nothing to buy. Without volunteers, nothing can get done! Being involved with a community organization is an ideal addition to any college application or resume. Letters of recommendation are granted to anyone who provides a substantial community service to our market. You will also have the opportunity to make new friends, learn new things, and build your network of professional associates.
