Vendor, Dory Farms' booth at Hobbs Farmers Market

VENDOR MEETINGS

These meetings are open to the public for
new & returning vendors, as well as volunteers.

Vendor meetings are meant for anyone and everyone that is involved, or may want to become involved with the Hobbs Farmers' Market. The presence of all members on the board of directors is mandatory.

The first "pre-season" vendors meeting of the year will be hosted one to two months prior to the first day that the market plans to open for business. Volunteers that are interested in providing any community service are encouraged to attend this meeting. It is highly recommended that all new vendors do not miss this meeting! It is the best time to get to know our directors and learn what to expect when becoming a vendor, volunteer, or board member. The presence of past vendors is highly encouraged, to possibly offer some personal insight for new vendors in the same areas of business, should they have questions about getting started. Open discussion is held at the end of every meeting.

A second "mid-season" vendors meeting will be called near the half way mark of the farmers' market season. This meeting is held to ensure that all vendors are satisfied with the atmosphere of our market, and prevent any undesirable circumstances that may exist. The mid-season meeting is a good opportunity for any late vendors that might wish to register and have questions answered in an environment suitable for orientation.

Finally, a "post-season" vendors meeting will be called near or after the end of the farmers' market season. Here we will discuss the year's business and plan for any changes that should be made for the next year.

Additional vendor meetings for issues concerning current vendors, volunteers, and directors may be called in private, when necessary.

Our pre-season vendor meeting for 2018 is currently scheduled for May 12th, at 2PM. We will gather beneath a small pavilion at Green Meadow Lake, closer to the highway. We will NOT be under the large pavilion beside the lake.

When attending vendor meetings, please bring a pen, paper for notes, any person that may be helping with your booth, money for booth rental (not due immediately, but payments will be accepted), a state-issued ID (required), and any licenses or certifications you may have.

Use the form on the right to register and receive notifications for specific details when we call our vendor meetings.

Thank you for your interest in HFM.
